  • Enhancement: macOS 26 image has been updated. This update additionally adds Xcode 27.0 and its simulators to the macOS 26 ARM64 runners. Learn more.

  • Feature: BYOC Local SSD auto-mount — Linux-based BYOC runners on AWS, GCP, and Azure now automatically detect, format, and mount local NVMe SSDs (instance store) to the runner's work directory during boot. Multiple local SSDs are combined into a RAID-0 array for maximum throughput. No configuration required. See the Local SSD docs for details.
  • Feature: BYOC Nested virtualization — Nested virtualization is now automatically enabled on BYOC runner sets (AWS, GCP, and Azure) when all selected instance types support it. No configuration required. See the Nested Virtualization docs for details.

  • Fix: GCP BYOC cache — Impersonated service-account tokens for the GCS cache are now requested with a 1-hour lifetime to match GCP's default cap, so cache works without enabling the iam.allowServiceAccountCredentialLifetimeExtension org policy.
  • Feature: Multiple GitHub organizations per WarpBuild organization - Connect more than one GitHub organization to a single WarpBuild organization. Runners work across your connected GitHub orgs, and the billing, reports, and observability views can be filtered by GitHub organization. Each connected GitHub org can register runners into its own GitHub runner group.

  • Feature: Nested virtualization - Enable KVM/nested virtualization on Linux x86-64 runners by adding nested-virtualization.enabled=true to your runs-on labels. See the Nested Virtualization docs for usage and the required KVM permissions step.

  • Deprecation: Following up on the deprecation communications sent out on May 5th (subject: WarpBuild - observability, snapshot key change, May 31 deprecations):

    • macOS 13 runners have been removed. The warp-macos-13-arm64-6x runner is no longer available. Please migrate to macOS 15, or macOS 26 runners.
    • Cloud spot runners have been removed. All *-spot runner labels on WarpBuild Cloud are no longer available. For spot instance support, use BYOC runners with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
    • Windows 2x runners have been removed. The warp-windows-latest-x64-2x, warp-windows-2025-x64-2x and warp-windows-2022-x64-2x runner labels are no longer available. Please use 4x or larger sizes.
    • Custom cloud runners have been removed. Custom runner configurations on WarpBuild Cloud are no longer available. Please use the standard runner sizes or BYOC runners for custom configurations.
    • Legacy dashboard-based snapshot enablement has been removed. Runners previously configured with snapshots enabled from the dashboard will no longer use snapshots. To continue using snapshot runners, migrate to the label-based configuration by adding snapshot.enabled=true or snapshot.key=<alias> to your runs-on labels. See the Snapshot Runners docs for migration details.
